Taking portraits of people jumping was a concept pioneered by Philippe Halsman during the 1950’s. He asked many famous artists, actors, politicians (and even royalty) to jump and it was his theory that they displayed their true personality while being in the air. We don’t have any royalty in this series, but each one is special in his or her own way.
